Dale Peacock Scholarship

General Information

The Dale Peacock Legacy Scholarship was created in memory of Milton Dale Peacock, who passed away suddenly on May 1st, 2018 at the age of 66. Mr. Peacock was a Christian attorney. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University (1978) and LSU Law School (1982) and honorably discharged as a Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force (1974).

 

Mr. Peacock was a founding board member of Geneva Academy in 2000, an outstanding teacher of civics at Geneva,  and an elder at Auburn Avenue Presbyterian Church in Monroe, LA (now Church of the Redeemer in West Monroe, LA).

 

The vision of the Legacy Scholarship is to provide needed financial assistance to students in their pursuit of Christian education and in their desire to contribute to the advancement of the Gospel through those pursuits. Students receiving this scholarship will:

  1. Maintain a 3.0 (reassessed annually)
  2. Demonstrate financial need (tuition being 8%+ of family income)
  3. Exhibit Christian character in honest work and godly living
