Dress Code
5.1 Uniform (revised 8/06)
Uniforms must be worn to all classes. They must be neat and clean. Shirts must be tucked in completely and shoes must be tied. All forms of “sloppiness” are to be avoided. Uniforms must be worn in such a way as to make others comfortable. (Golden rule applied to clothing)
The following is the 2006-2007 school year dress code:
Girls
Grades PK-6
Pants - Khaki or navy in flat front or pleated styles only # - No flare legs - No shorts - No cargo styles - Pants are only allowed from Thanksgiving to Spring Break. (Pull up pants can be worn by Kindergarten students).
Shirts - White only (any style)
Zip Cardigans - navy or Red #
Socks and Tights - white, navy, red, or khaki
Shoes - must be clean, tasteful, not gaudy - No boots - No open toe or heels
Hair - Clean and neat, not in face (pulled back, if necessary)
Shirts - Mesh Polo or Interlock Polo # - Long-sleeve or short - white, red or navy blue
Sweater - Cardigans or V-neck in red or navy blue
Shorts - Khaki or Navy from Lands End only @
Socks - white, navy, ed or khaki color
Shoes - must be clean, tasteful, not gaudy - No boots - No open toes or heels
Pants - Khaki or navy in flat front or pleated styles only *** - Pants are only allowed from Thanksgiving to Spring Break - No Shorts - No cargo styles.
Shirts - Any Style from Lands End, page 21 (except French blue oxfort) # - Shirt must be fully buttoned except top button.
Sweaters - navy or red from KMS or Cardigans from Lands End #
Socks and Tights - can be white or navy
Shoes - Casual Dress - No Tennis shoes - No Boots
Hair - Clean and neat, not in the face (pulled back, if necessary)
Shirts - Oxfords only - Short or long Sleeve - Blue (Lands End only )@ or White - No Brand Name emblems - Must be pressed
Sweaters - Navy *** Crewneck, V-neck or Vest in Navy
Socks - Khaki or navy to match pants
Ties - Navy and Red Striped *** (from previous year) - Classic Navy/Dark Crimson @ (style j.) ONLY
Shoes - Brown or Black dress shoe - No tennis shoes - No boots
Hair - Must be above collar - Above eyebrows - Over the ears - Clean and combed
6. 7-12 boys are to wear a navy blue blazer during test weeks (the whole week)
7. Boys may not wear earrings or excessive jewelry (i.e. anything tasteless or distracting)
8. Girls may not wear multiple sets of earrings. Earrings must be tasteful and not distracting.
9. Girls may wear only metal necklaces. (no leather, chain, or “hemp” styles)
10. Wisdom, discretion and a love of others are the guides by which to dress.
